If you ask me,then yes I'm a Diehard Fan of Yash Chopra ,and as a matter of fact I was following every minor detail about Jab Tak Hai Jaan for last one year and I was as excited about its release as everyone else but what I get in the end is sheer disappointment and mental torture of 3 straight hours!!! Story and screenplay wasn't just bad,it was pathetic!! You spend first half of the movie watching Over Acting of SRK,trying hard to look 25 year old Macho man who can't even lip sing but quite easily transforms British accent of Katrina for a very 'Taitth Punjabi' song(o come on,give me a break!!!), Ill-Fitted-Situational Songs, Stupid Not-Making-Sense-At-All dialogues, A girl with over 30 BMI trying to gather her scattered All-Over-The-Screen body(that dance sequel was more like a Gangnam Style Orgy..worst choreography for any of Yash Chopra's movie!!). Someone please tell Katrina how to act otherwise stop casting her in such demanding roles!!!
You sit through second half of the movie in hope that things will improve but only consistent material in JTHJ is its Absurdity which has a span of full movie length.
Here I must mention 2 good things about JTHJ . First is Its music and background score. Trust me the only winning performance in the movie is by AR Rehman, who again created magic by his beautiful tunes and powerful orchestra in every frame of the movie.
Second good thing is it's cinematography.. quality speaks in every angle, every shot. Especially spell of Laddakh is heavenly.Only these two things give movie a grand Worth-Sitting-In-The-Hall look otherwise you would've been exiting the hall with retrograde amnesia cuz every other thing in the movie has a traumatic effect on your higher centres.
Credits are also worth mentioning here.. watching ,yash jee working behind camera even at this age is definitely an inspiration for everyone especially for young film makers.. This guy gave us countless reasons to smile,to laugh,to weep,to feel emotionally pumped up,to fall in Love. World will definitely miss his definitions of Love.

In the end, if you manage to sit through 3 longest hours of your life and come out of theatre with a supercool look at your face praising the movie then I congratulate you for passing the test of being a retard and being SRK fan. For me it was amalgam of DTPH,DDLJ,KKHH,Jab We Met and Veer-Zara (by picking worst from each). Yashraj must realise that it's 2012 and formula of 90's can't work any more.
3/5 stars only for AR Rehman sb and quality direction. Must watch,as it's 'Yash Chopra's Next' and sadly.....The Last!!!
